Dawn of Eden: Legends, Pets and a Woodcut Makeover
Key notes
- A legend in every monster: each of the 110 monsters now has one signature piece of gear built for one class. It has fixed stats and is the best of its kind at its level. Bosses’ pieces are Mythic, a new rarity above Legendary.
- Pets: every monster also has a very rare pet. Adopt one from your bag and bring it along from Hero → Style. Pets nip at monsters in fights (never in duels or the arena) and give a small perk such as +2% experience or +1% crit.
- Monster Collection: the Bestiary now tracks every signature and pet. Find both from one monster to earn its title, like “Ratcatcher” for the Vine Rat.
- Armor sets every two levels: plate, leather and woven sets at levels 1, 3, 5 … 39, dropping from monsters around their level. Four of them come only from side quests.
- Special sets:
- The main story now awards the Lanternbearer, Hivebreaker, Codexkeeper and Rootwarden sets (levels 10, 20, 30 and 40).
- Side quests award the Bellsong and Skyforge sets (levels 15 and 35).
- Quest pieces always come in your class’s armor type.
- Bigger bags: Old Mother Gourd sells the legendary Satchel Expansion Coupon for 120 Harvest Tokens. Each adds 10 bag slots, up to 5 per character (90 slots).
- Smarter selling: the market’s Sell tab shows whether you can use each piece of gear and what equipping it would change, so you can tell what’s worth keeping.
- Next Up cleans itself up: finished suggestions, like spending stat points or collecting mail, disappear right away.
- Hand-drawn icons: every emoji in the game is replaced by carved woodcut-style icons drawn for Dawn of Eden.
How rare is rare?
Signature gear and pets roll for every player who shares the kill:
| Monster | Gear | Pet |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | about 1 in 600 | about 1 in 1,000 |
| Level 20 | about 1 in 1,040 | about 1 in 1,730 |
| Level 40 | about 1 in 1,500 | about 1 in 2,500 |
| Bosses and the world boss | 1 in 40 | 1 in 60 |
Dungeon bosses only roll while their loot isn’t locked out for you. Signature gear and pets can’t be sold on the market, so every one you see was earned.
Sets
A full set gives a bonus at 2 and 4 pieces. Each piece’s description now says where to find it, whether that’s a monster or a quest.
