Dawn of Eden: Colors, Comparisons and Four New Themes
Key notes
- Rarity colors everywhere: item names now show their rarity color wherever they appear, from the bag, shop and market to mail, recipes, the fight buttons and every line of the log (“You receive Seed of Eden”).
- “If you equip this”: every piece of gear shows exactly what changes if you put it on: stats, armor, damage, max health, crit and dodge, affix bonuses and set bonuses. It also says what it would replace.
- Name dyes work everywhere: your dyed name now shows in your own log (even “You say”), at the top of your screen, in the party frame, guild list and fights. Every new chat line uses the color you wear when you send it.
- Four new themes: Ashfall, Verdigris, Sandstone (a light theme) and the glowing Aurora. The theme picker is now compact, so all twelve fit at a glance.
- Can I wear it? Gear now says ”✓ You can use” or ”✗ Not for Wardens” in shops, the bag and the market. The details list every class that can use it, and the game asks before you buy something your class can’t wear.
- Fixes:
- The Look and Fight buttons no longer disappear beside monsters with long names.
- Staff characters no longer appear on the leaderboards.
- A new home for Eden: the Dawn of Eden page has been rebuilt with real screenshots, and this devlog now collects every update in one place.
Comparing gear
Tap any weapon, armor piece, off-hand or trinket, in your bag, a shop or the market. Under its stats you’ll see If you equip this, with gains in green and losses in red.
Trinkets compare against the slot they would actually go into. Armor sets count their 2-piece and 4-piece bonuses before and after, so swapping out a set piece shows the bonus you would lose.
Themes
Settings → Theme. The new ones:
- Ashfall: charcoal and ash lit by embers.
- Verdigris: old copper gone green.
- Sandstone: sun-baked and light.
- Aurora: northern lights glowing over the night.
