Dawn of Eden: Bonds & Bounty
Key notes
- Three new classes: the Blightbinder (rot and life-drain), the Songweaver (party songs and shields, played with an instrument off-hand) and the Beastwarden (fights beside a wolf, boar or hawk).
- New character select and creator: class crests, big character cards, and a live preview of your survivor’s stats and description as you build them. Beastwardens pick their companion when they’re created.
- Fair party loot: everyone in the party who is alive and in the room shares the kill. Materials take turns, and gear is rolled first by those who can use it, so one person no longer gets everything. The leader can switch between fair, round-robin, random and leader loot.
- Follow that sticks: following now lasts until you stop it. It survives fleeing, walking yourself, recall, death and fights, and you catch up to the leader automatically.
- Party fights: party members in the room join each other’s fights automatically (you can switch this off). The leader can mark a target with 🎯 for everyone to focus.
- Friends and mail: add friends to see when they come online, and mail letters, Scrip and items to any player from a safe place.
The new classes
Blightbinder (Intellect, staff and charm). Rot stacks up to five times on a target and keeps eating it. Siphon spells hurt the enemy and heal you for part of the damage.
Songweaver (Willpower, blade and instrument). Songs buff the whole party or weaken every enemy at once. Songweavers can also cleanse and shield their friends. Instruments, from the Tin Whistle up to the Spireglass Harp, are sold wherever charms are.
Beastwarden (Agility, bow or sickle). Your companion attacks every round after you and goes for your target or the party’s mark:
- Wolf: bites that bleed.
- Boar: taunts enemies and guards you.
- Hawk: big critical hits, and it leaves enemies vulnerable.
You can swap companions at the Barracks trainer for a few Scrip.
Party play
The party frame on the Here tab shows every member’s health, where they are, and which way to go to reach them. It also has buttons to follow or catch up. If you join a party fight late, you’re pulled straight into it.
Friends and mail
Social → Friends lists your friends with their level and where they are. Tap a name to tell, mail, invite or follow them. To write a letter, go to Market → Mail. Attaching Scrip or an item is optional, and postage is 5 Scrip.
